Beijing/Xian/Lhasa/Xigaze/Gyangze/Zedang/Chengdu(15 Days)

       Together with the classic and historical sites in Beijing and Xian which served as imperial China’s capitals for over two thousands years. Then spend three days in the legendary mountain kingdom of Tibet and take a five-day excursing to remote towns and monasteries. Continue to Sichuan, well-known for its hot food, to visit giant panda. Tour Itinerary:

D1 ( L D)
Arrival in Beijing, the ancient and modern capital of China. Colossal modern skyscrapers overshadow hidden alleyways and courtyards. Transfer to visit Tiananmen Squire, the largest City Square in the world. Temple of Heaven, a Ming Temple where the Emperors performed annual rites essential for the well being of their land. Yonghe Lama Temple, the most renowned Tibetan Buddhist temple within China outside Tibet itself. Overnight in Beijing. 
 
D2 ( B L D)
Depart to visit Great Wall, known to Chinese as 10,000 li wall(5000km), it’s regarded as one of the seven great ancient engineering wonders of the world. The Ming Tombs(Changling tomb), the tombs of thirteen Emperors of Ming Dynasty with 500 year history.  Sacred Way, which lied in front of imperial necropolis, it’s for the spirits of the royal dead-in which the ancients believed-to walk on. Taste famous Peking duck for dinner. Hotel same as above. 
 
D3 ( B L D)
Drive to visit Forbidden City, a powerful maze of ancient palaces and courtyards from which the emperor ruled the land for 500 years. Summer Palace, vast and beautiful landscape of elegant garden, lakes and pavilions. You'll admire the famous Marble Boat during the visit. Hutong tour by pedicab, Hutong is an ancient city alley, to experience the life of the local people. Visit the old quadrangles inhabited by Beijing residents.  Hotel same as above.

Take morning flight from Beijing to Xian, the ancient Tang Dynasty capital of China and the home of the legendary Terra Cotta Army. Transfer to visit Historical Museum, with its unparalleled collection of Chinese antiquities. Big Goose Pagoda, which was built in 648 A.D. and used to store Buddhist scriptures. Chinese medicine market. Overnight in Xian. 
 
D5 ( B L D)
Drive to visit Terra Cotta Army,which was to be found at an archaeological site which so far has yielded some 8000 ancient terracotta soldiers and horses, each a unique, finely detailed sculpture. Return journey to downtown. Visit Forest of Steles, which collects nearly 3000 steles and it is the biggest museum for steles in China. Most of its collection are steles of the Tang Dynasty. City Walls, sensing the immense scale and enduring impregnability. Great Mosque, which is one of the largest Islamic mosques in China. The mosque is built in a Chinese architectural style and most of the grounds are taken up with gardens. Taste dumpling banquet for dinner and enjoy a performance of Chinese traditional singing and dancing in the evening. Hotel same as above. 
 
D6 ( B L D)
Depart to visit Bell and Drum Tower, where you can take a bird’s eye view of this ancient mystery city. Take afternoon flight from Xian to Lhasa, the capital of Tibet and the site of its most famous monuments. Transfer to hotel. Overnight in Lhasa. 
D7 ( B L D)
Depart to visit Potala Palace, the winter palace of the Dalai Lama since the 7th century, which symbolizes Tibetan Buddhism and its central role in the traditional administration in Tibet. Jokhang Temple, which is an exceptional Buddhist religious complex. It is the spiritual centre of Tibet. The temple combines Han, Tibetan and Nepalese architectural techniques. Bharbor Street,which is an old and traditional shopping street in the centre of Lhasa. Norbu Lingka, the summer palace for Dalai Lama.  Hotel same as above. 
 
D8 ( B L D)
Drive to visit Drepung Monastery, the largest monastery in the world. Sere Monastery,one of the three largest monasteries in Tibet, over 10,000 golden copper Buddhist statues are enshrined in the monastery, the holy prayer scripture written in cinnabar and other treasures. Hotel same as above. 

D9 ( B L D)
Drive to Xigaze. Visit Tashilumpo Monastery, used to be the residence of the Panchen. Overnight in Xigaze.

D10 ( B L D)
Drive to Gyangze. Visit Pelkor Chode Monastery, used to be a multi- denominational complex of monasteries, its main octagonal Kunbum Stupa rises up within the walls with nine tiers, 75 chapels and 108 gates. Zhongsan Castle, used to be the local government administration. Overnight in Gyangze. 

 

D11 ( B L D)
Drive to Zedang. Visit Lake Yamdrok Tso, one of the three holiest lakes in Tibet. Legend has it that a fairy descending to the earth formed the bright turquoise blue lake. Trandruk Monastery, which was built during the reign of Songtsan Gampo. It’s said Princess Wencheng stayed and practiced Buddhism. Overnight in Zedang.

D12 ( B L D)
Transfer to visit Samye Monastery, which was built in 761 by Trisong Detsen of Tubo Kindrom. Sayme means “sunrise” in Tibetan. Yombulakang Monastery, which was regarded as the first palace in Tibet. 5th Dalai Lama turned it a monastery. Tomb of King Tibet, tombs of Kings, government officers and their wives during the reign of Tubo.  Hotel same as above. 

 
D13 ( B L D)
Drive from Zedang to Lhasa. Take flight from Lhasa to Chengdu, capital of Sichuan Province. Transfer to visit Wenshu Monastery, which was built during the Tang Dynasty, a Buddhist statue made in Tibet is housed in its main temple. Balance of the day, sightseeing in Song Xianqiao Antique and Art Market to experience the life of local people. Overnight in Chengdu.  
 

D14 ( B L D)
Drive to visit Chengdu Panda Breeding Research Base to see the lovely Pandas. Dujiangyan Irrigation Project, which was undertaken in the 3rd century BC to divert the fast-flowing Min River and rechannel it into irrigation canals. Two Kings Temple, the two kings are Libing, governor of Kingdom of Shu and father of the irrigation project, and his son, Er Lang, who were given the titles posthumously- this makes for a rather unusual and dilapidated engineering temple.Hotel same as above

Take morning flight from Chengdu to Guangzhou, collect flight to Hongkong.
